Just wanted to remind everyone about our Summer Camps that are starting in a couple of week! They run from May 28th through July, check out the week available on the flyer below. There are also single days available every wednesday and Thursday for $25! Camps are only $100 this year and go from 9am-12 with the option of a week membership for only $10....cant beat that! Alrighy, seems as though i haven't been posting on here enough lately but i do have some good stuff this time so i will jump right into what happened this week.

Ben Cissell held his first annual "just for fun" contest this past weekend. It was hilarious, awesome, and no even really a contest i dont think basically because there wasn't really competition between anyone. So i believe with that said Ben accomplished exactly what he wanted to. No bumping folks from one division to another, no judges, and no complaints when it was all over with. There were bearded men skating along side 3 foot tall kids and both had just as much of a chance at taking home the trophy as the other. I can't really explain how great it was to be a part of this contest and hope we can have quite a few of them in the future. So, in the end there still had to be a "winner" and that winner happened to be Mr Jason Hunt aka TRUCK (the dude has a massive truck therefore nickname is easy to understand right?) or as ben called him....deadliest catch. He was near perfect in every mini contest....but so was quite a few other people...all in all out of the 12-15 contestants the final "scores were seperated by a point of two. So just check out the photo below...and yes all you folks that didn't show up...you really missed out and i hope you can be a part of it next time.

Truck takes the trophy back to knoxville in a tiny nissan..it barely fit in the car.

First off this isnt our normal contest in the park, it will be on the slab...or if weather changes things then the main venue......

So for those of you who know ben know that he is reckless and doesn't play by the rules....well at least when it comes to any form of organized games, contests, etc. This contest he is putting on is no exception. In his words " I want everyone to remember why they started skateboarding, to have fun, this contest should remind them of that." also he stated that to win this one you only basically have to be able to stand on a board...1st place gets a trophy thats about 4 feet tall. Now we arent saying you dont have to do tricks or "stunts" on your board we are just saying there's more to it than doing that kickflip frontboard on the cross rail love to do....there may or may not be launch ramps, high ollies, how many 360 can you do's?, races and more...check the flyer and be here MAY 5th at NOON!!!!
