3rd Annual Young Guns 13 and Under Skate Contest
This was our 3rd annual "Young Guns" contest, and quite possibly the best one yet. We had people from all over the place... including Memphis, Florence KY, Jasper GA, Atlanta GA, Knoxville, and in every direction surrounding Nashville. Thank you to everyone that came out to skate and to everyone that was just there to support!!
The beginner division probably had our biggest turn out, and it was definitely a lot of fun to watch. Everyone skated really well, but Andrew Fullen stood out to the judges as he pulled out 1st place. Intermediate had almost as many people as the beginner division, and the competition was even closer. The judges sent 7 people into the finals, but even that was a really close group with others really close behind. Top 3 was close, but Jordan Hunter came out on top.
Advanced was our smallest in terms of competitors, but everyone killed it for sure. Beaver Flemming came in from Knoxville and gave everyone a lesson on how to destroy a flybox, Chase Presley and Eli Tennant showed us that 3 foot tall kids can make all us older dudes look bad, Boo Spence reminded us that he still likes to jump of tall objects, and Jake Cooney came in from Fort Mill, SC and showed us just how many ollie north variations you can come up with if you are creative. It was definitely a fun contest to watch!!
